B. Lennart Persson lives in Oslo, Norway, and has been blogging about ikebana since 2008. He grew up in the north of Sweden surrounded by forests and mountains. As a child he was interested in growing plants and flowers and spent hours learning their names and peculiarities. Today this knowledge comes in handy when working with ikebana. The fascination for flowers together with two of his other interest, modern arts and meditation, are essential resources for his ikebana practice. After moving to Norway he started studying ikebana in 2005, and in 2011 he received his teachers certificate from the Sogetsu School in Tokyo. He is also a member of the Sogetsu Teachers Association.
